I spent a quiet morning at Kapalua Bay on Saturday. I am always up hours before anyone anywhere I travel. Transport me to Iceland or Maui, and I am generally up around 4 am local time. I used to think that this habit of early rising began because of babies, but now I know it is because I am a photographer. My heart and mind always think about the light and want to be the first to greet it wherever I am.
