I realized something. I’ve been keeping a diary of inspiration through my screenshots. Scrolling through the 20,000 images on my phone, I delighted in the quotes and bits of sage advise I clipped. Because I am editing images I made in May 2021, I filtered through the screenshots I captured during that time and was pulled into what was speaking to me. I was weaving a story of romance, self-discovery, color, and falling in love with the turn of a new decade of life for me. The missing piece, however, is reflection. Why do these words and images speak to me? I will have to steal some time to make room for reflection and perhaps create something inspired by my screenshots. Maybe build a body of work around them.
